Mark's Work Warehouse (“Mark's”) has grown to become one of Canada's leading apparel retailers, with more than 385 stores across Canada. The company prides itself on offering high-quality work wear, casual and business wear, and sports and outdoor apparel, for both men and women. Mark's chose JDA to help reengineer the company's retail enterprise to be more responsive to customer demand — all the way from forecasting to execution — in order to drive sales, increase inventory turns, minimize stock-outs and overstocks, and increase service levels. It realized the following results:

  • Achieved three quarters of record top-line sales from Q1-Q3 2012
  • Reduced inventory units 8.3 percent below last year rate (LYR) in Q3 2012
  • Realized strong profit performance to LYR and plan in Q1-Q3 2012
  • Decreased pre-pack cartons by 29 percent for Spring 2013, resulting in fewer costs and increased efficiency
  • Achieved an 8 percent reduction in year-to-date supply chain spend versus LYR for distribution and transportation in Q1-Q3 2012
  • Realized a significant reduction in store-to-store inventory transfers
  • Decreased stranded and clearance stock in stores
  • Achieved higher levels of customer satisfaction
